RECIPE OF COFFEE ICE CREAM

Milk 1.5 cup
Egg yolk 1
Sugar 8 tbsp
Thick cream 1.5 cup
Espresso coffee (instant mixed with 1/4 cup of water) 4 tbsp
Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Method For Preparing Coffee Ice Cream

  • 1.
  • Heat the milk. Beat the egg yolk and sugar in a bowl until light. Continue beating and add hot milk.

  • 2.
  • Transfer this mixture to a heavy saucepan and cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly; cook until the custard is thick and coat the back of the spoon.

  • 3.
  • Do not allow the mixture to boil or else it will curdle. Stir in the cream, coffee and essence.

  • 4.
  • Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a sieve. Allow it cool to the room temperature.

  • 5.
  • Pour the mixture into the ice cream bowl and freeze the mixture over night or until sets.
