RECIPE OF DAL CURRY

Split red gram (tuvara parippu) 120 gm
Onion 1
Green chillis 5
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Salt To taste

Tempering

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Coconut oil 1 tbsp
Curry leaves A sprig
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Red chillies 2

Method For Preparing Dal Curry

  • 1.
  • Slice onion and slit green chillies. Heat ghee in a pan and saute washed red gram, onion, chillies, turmeric.

  • 2.
  • Add enough water to cook. Put it in a pressure cooker and when tender, remove from the cooker and put it in another vessel and mash.

  • 3.
  • Add salt and more water if required. Bring to boil.

  • 4.
  • Temper with the given ingredients.
