RECIPE OF GHEE RICE

Basmati rice 4 cup
Onion 1.5
Ghee 1/3 cup
Cashew nut 20
Raisins 20
Salt To Taste
Cardamom 5
Clove 10
Hot Water 7 cups
Cinnamon 4 piece

Method For Preparing Ghee Rice

  • 1.
  • Wash and soak rice in water for 15 minutes. Drain it well.

  • 2.
  • Slice the onions into fine pieces.

  • 3.
  • Add 3 tbsp of ghee into a frying vessel. Fry the onions, raisins and cashew separately and keep aside.

  • 4.
  • In another vessel, heat 1/4 cup of ghee, add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves into it and stir well.

  • 5.
  • Now add the rice into it and stir for few minutes.

  • 6.
  • Now add 7 cup of hot water and salt into it. Cook it covered until the water is absorbed by the rice.

  • 7.
  • Remove from fire and keep it closed for another 10 minutes.

  • 8.
  • Garnish with fried onions, cashews and raisins and serve hot.
