Rice flour 125 gm
Coconut 3/4 cup
Jaggery 100 gm
Crushed cardamom 2
Ghee (optional) 1/2 tsp

Method For Preparing Kozhukatta

  • 1.
  • Melt the jaggery in some water and mix well. Add coconut into it and mix again.

  • 2.
  • Now add some ghee and cook till water is dried up. Add the cardamom into it and remove from fire. Keep aside.

  • 3.
  • Boil some water with salt. Pour the water to the rice flour slowly and mix with a wooden spoon. Keep aside for some time.

  • 4.
  • Knead the dough and make it into small balls. Press the ball using your hands to make it thin.

  • 5.
  • Now Start folding it inwards in such a way that you get a cup shape. Place some fillings in between and roll it back to the ball shape.

  • 6.
  • Steam the kozhukattas for some minutes in a steamer. Serve hot.
