RECIPE OF MIXED VEGETABLE PAKORA

Bengal gram flour 1.5 cup
Grated cabbage 1/2 cup
Grated carrot 1/2 cup
Beans chopped 1/2 cup
Palak chopped 1/2 cup
Onion chopped 1/2 cup
Salt To taste
Green chilli chopped 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Cumin seed powder 1/4 tsp
Hot oil 2 tsp
Sodium bicarbonate A pinch
Oil For frying

Method For Preparing Mixed Vegetable Pakora

  • 1.
  • In a bowl, take grated and chopped vegetables.

  • 2.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin seed powder, garlic paste, bengal gram flour and salt to taste.

  • 3.
  • Mix together and beat well. Add 2 tsp hot oil.

  • 4.
  • Keep covered for 20 minutes to swell. Add a pinch of sodium bicarbonate at the time of frying.

  • 5.
  • Heat oil in a pan to just below smoking point.

  • 6.
  • Drop a tbsp full of the mixture into the hot oil. Deep fry them at a time.

  • 7.
  • Turn once or twice till golden brown in colour. Drain on kitchen napkin paper.

  • 8.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato sauce and sprinkle with pakora masala.
