RECIPE OF MUTTON STEW

Cashew nuts 10
Onion (sliced) 3
Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
Green chilies 3
Fennel seeds crushed 1/2 tbsp
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
Cardamom 4
Cloves 4
Pepper (crushed) 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon stick 2 piece
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Coconut milk(Thick) 1 cup
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Salt To Taste
Oil As Required

FOR MARINATION

Vinegar 1.5 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Curryleaves Few
Pepper powder 1 tsp
Salt To Taste

Method For Preparing Mutton Stew

  • 1.
  • Marinate the mutton pieces for at least 2 hours.

  • 2.
  • Pressure cook the mutton pieces in enough water. Keep the stock aside.

  • 3.
  • Crush fennel seeds,cloves,cardamom and cinnamon together and keep aside.

  • 4.
  • Saute onion,green chilies,cashew nuts and curryleaves in a pan.

  • 5.
  • Also add garlic and ginger into it and saute again.

  • 6.
  • Now add crushed spices and crushed pepper, saute till fragrant.

  • 7.
  • Nextly add the mutton pieces and saute again for few minutes.

  • 8.
  • Now add coconut milk, stock and salt into it. Also add some garam masala. Cook until the gravy thickens.

  • 9.
  • Serve hot.
