Method For Preparing Poha

  • 1.
  • Put the flaked rice in a sieve and keep under running water for a minute to get soaked.

  • 2.
  • Shake the grains. Cook, peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes. Roast the peanuts. Heat one tbsp oil in a vessel. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder and asafoetida.

  • 3.
  • Add the flaked rice, salt, chili powder, roasted peanuts, potatoes and green chilies.

  • 4.
  • Cook stirring occasionally till the poha is dry. Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves and sprinkle one tsp lemon juice.
