RECIPE OF PUFF PASTRY

Refined flour 3 cup
Butter(unsalted) 2 cups
Salt 1 tsp
Iced water 1 cup

Method For Preparing Puff Pastry

  • 1.
  • Mix maida, water and 1 cup of butter in a vessel. Make it into a crumbly mixture by adding more water.

  • 2.
  • Cover the mixture and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  • 3.
  • Cut the butter into square pieces. Also make the dough into rectangular pieces.

  • 4.
  • Place the butter in between the dough and seal the edges. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes.

  • 5.
  • Roll the dough into a long strip again, fold one third from one end towards center and then the other.

  • 6.
  • Chill it and repeat twice more before using as required.
