RECIPE OF SPONGE DOSA

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Parboiled Rice 2 cup
Rice flakes 1/2 cup
Butter milk 4 cup
Ghee 1/4 tsp

Method For Preparing Sponge Dosa

  • 1.
  • Wash rice and rice flakes separately. As rice flakes usually have some mud, it should be washed well in water.

  • 2.
  • Soak both of these together in 4 cups of butter milk for 10 hours.

  • 3.
  • Grind it to smooth paste with salt. Add soda just before preparing dosa.

  • 4.
  • Heat a tawa and pour a bit spoonful of the paste. Do not spread.

  • 5.
  • Put a little ghee around the dosa and close it with a lid.

  • 6.
  • Cook in a medium heat for few minutes until there is no raw batter on top of the dosa. Do not turn over.

  • 7.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
