RECIPE OF VEN PONGAL

Rice 1 cup
Black pepper 1 tsp
Ghee 200 gm
Yellow moong dal 1/2 cup
Ginger 1
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Green chilli 1
Curry leaves water 4 cups
Cashew nuts To Taste
Salt To Taste

Method For Preparing Ven Pongal

  • 1.
  • Pour some ghee in a pressure cooker and add rice and moong dal into it. Heat it for few minutes.

  • 2.
  • Now pour some water and salt into it and heat it until 3 whistles.

  • 3.
  • Take the remaining ghee, cashew nuts, black pepper, cumin seeds, green chilli, curry leaves and ginger in a pan and fry it for a minute.

  • 4.
  • Mix it with the rice and serve hot.
